You’re on the final strait of your school career, the exams are approaching, and you’re wondering: Should I start studying now or maybe it’s better to opt for practical vocational training? Why not do both? The FernUniversität in Hagen makes it possible! With us, you can study while completing your professional training – and customize the combination to suit your personal needs.

Admission & Dates

If you have a general higher education entrance qualification certificate, you can enroll in any of the bachelor’s degree courses on offer.

There are no further admission restrictions in these degree programs the FernUniversität (i.e., no specific grades are required, in German: numerus clausus)

Our registration deadlines:

  • for the winter semester: 1 June to 31 July
  • for the summer semester: 1 December to 31 January

As a student, you pay for the modules and courses you take.
This covers the costs of support, printing and dispatch.

BAföG

If you are studying full-time at Germany’s only public distance-learning university, you are entitled to government funding via the BAföG scheme. You can also build on your bachelor’s degree with high-quality consecutive master’s courses and a subsequent doctorate.
