On-campus Seminars and Internships

On-campus seminars are offered in Hagen and at the campus locations and complement the distance learning program in a meaningful way. They offer you a chance to work closely with other students and lecturers. Depending on the degree program, these events last two to three days and are usually held at weekends.
Internships of varying duration are required in the degree programs of the Faculties of Mathematics and Computer Science, Humanities and Social Sciences, and Psychology. Bearing in mind that 80 percent of our students are in employment, the internships do not usually have to be completed in one go.
You can find out whether and how many on-campus events you have to attend on the websites of the respective faculties. They will also provide further details on the internship process.
You should talk to the relevant contact persons in the faculties and examination offices about the possibilities of transferring credits for activities in areas related to your field of study:
