Leadership

Leadership is a significant aspect of our everyday lives and affects people in very different ways. It is a universal phenomenon that affects all people in all cultures. It impacts practically everyone in organizations due to its essential role in achieving success. But what defines effective leadership? Managers who have the ability to combine theoretical knowledge with experience are usually more successful.

Students on this course examine questions of leadership ethics in depth. The role of women in management is a significant aspect of this, particularly regarding its social relevance, ethical considerations, and justice. Students also examine cultural influences on leadership behavior. Of course, the course also deals with current leadership topics within the context of new working models and their respective requirements, e.g., health-oriented leadership, leadership in digitalized work processes, and much more.

Students can opt to take these study modules as part of the “Hagen Master’s Degree in Management” program, or separately as a stand-alone course that awards a university certificate.
