Tips: Avoiding Unnecessary Costs
You can avoid additional costs by organizing your studies mopre efficiently. Check out our tips on the subject.
Select the Right Modules
The amount you have to pay every semester is directly influenced by the extent of your enrollment. We recommend that you stick closely to the curriculum for your course and never study more than 20 ECTS credits (part-time studies) or 30 ECTS credits (full-time studies) per semester. Please take the amount of time you have available to study each week into account when planning your semester:
- I can study for 40 hours a week – you should aim to complete 30 ECTS credits
- I can study for 25 to 30 hours a week – you should aim to complete 20 ECTS credits
- I can study for 20 hours a week – you should aim to complete 15 ECTS credits
- I can study for 13 to 15 hours a week – you should aim to complete 10 ECTS credits
Make the Most of Free Module Repetition
If you don’t manage to successfully complete a module during the semester in which you first enrolled for it, please take advantage of the opportunity to repeat the module free of charge. You can repeat any module free of charge for four semesters after your first fee-paying registration. If you repeat a course, you will always have access to the latest digital version of the module and the current support.
University Library Costs
A good supply of literature is essential for university studies. Our library provides digital and analog borrowing. Make sure that you do not exceed the loan periods so that you do not incur any fees for returning books late. You can find information on the services provided by the University Library and the associated fees here.
