The Federal Student Loan System – BAföG

Full-time students at the FernUni have the opportunity to apply for BAföG. You can then receive aid in the form of a non-interest-bearing loan. The respective Student Services, in our case the Studierendenwerk Dortmund, are responsible for processing the applications.

If you wish to submit a BAföG application, you can print out the required certificate in accordance with § 9 BAföG in the virtual student environment.

The § 48 BAföG certificate will be issued by the examination office of your faculty:
