Additional Support for Prospective and Current Students

• General Advice and Information

  You can get all the relevant information, as well as all the information material and forms of the FernUniversität, on site. The staff provide prospective and current students with expert advice on all aspects and opportunities relating to distance learning and help with organizational matters.

• Student Advice: Make an Appointment

  You can make individual appointments for in-person or virtual advising. Whether you are considering taking a distance learning course, are in the early stages of your studies, or need solutions to complex challenges in distance learning, the student advisors support students in every phase of their studies – even when difficult topics arise.

• Media-technical Advice

  Media literacy and confident use of computers and the Internet are important prerequisites for successful distance learning. The media technology advisors at the campus locations are available to provide targeted assistance as needed.

• Academic Advisors

  The campus locations provide close links between regional cooperation partners and researchers at the FernUniversität. The academic advisors at the campus locations are dedicated to this networking idea.

  They support the respective campus locations in all academic matters related to studying and teaching. They represent the research of the FernUniversität locally to partners in science, business and politics.

• Exams at the Campus Locations

  You will usually take your examinations at one of the FernUniversität’s campus locations. You are free to choose from the examination locations offered. Different types and formats of examinations are offered at the respective campus locations. In addition to digital exams, you can also take face-to-face exams or oral exams via video conferencing systems. Both the type and format of the examination are determined by your faculty.

• Support for Student Study Groups

  At our campus locations, you can establish valuable social contacts with other prospective students and current students. You can exchange ideas and provide mutual support in study groups. Our campus locations are happy to make their well-equipped rooms available to students for study and work groups.
