Master of Business Administration and Economics – Risk Management: Course Content

From delays and failures in the supply chain to financial and currency crises: Today, companies, financial institutions and public bodies are faced with a multitude of potential risks that can impair their economic success. The task of risk management is to identify, analyze and evaluate these and to find suitable measures to reduce or avoid them.

In the Risk Management field of the master’s degree program in Economics, you will build up a comprehensive understanding of risk management based on your experience from your previous degree in economics. You will acquire skills that will enable you to analyze the causes and effects of risks and learn how to develop and implement measures for handling risk events. To this end, the course consists of a compulsory part, which familiarizes you with topics such as finance and risk management in supply chains, and a compulsory elective part. In the latter, you are largely free to choose from a range of course-specific and general business administration, economics, quantitative and legal modules. In this way, you can tailor your studies even more closely to your professional interests and ideas.
