  • Admission requirements

    Admission to the “Sports Business Management” postgraduate course is open to anyone who has successfully completed a university degree or can prove that they have completed an advanced degree in a related subject (e.g., law, sport, social work, economics, psychology) or have acquired the necessary aptitude in their profession. Officials in sports clubs and sports associations, people working in sports journalism and employees from authorities responsible for sports are also admitted.

    Course content and organization

    The program has a modular structure and is divided into a basic curriculum and a specialization curriculum. The basic curriculum comprises a total of 20 ECTS credits, while the specialization curriculum comprises at least 10 ECTS credits. This structure ensures a sound basic education, which is supplemented by specialized content in the in-depth curriculum. The total study time is therefore 750-900 semester hours over two semesters and is divided between on-site learning, self-study and e-learning. The structure allows for flexible adaptation to individual learning needs and professional and sporting commitments.

    Basic curriculum: Study structure and costs

    The basic curriculum comprises four modules, each worth 5 ECTS credits. However, modules can also be taken individually.

    • Module 1: Sports & Law, Basic Course (5 ECTS)
    • Module 2: Sports & Law, Specialization Course (5 ECTS)
    • Module 3: Business Administration Basics I & II (5 ECTS)
    • Module 4: Sport, Digitalization & Digital Transformation (5 ECTS)

    Costs:

    • One module in the basic curriculum (5 ECTS, 1 semester): €800
    • Basic curriculum (20 ECTS, 2 semesters): €3200

    Specialization stage: Study structure and costs

    There are four modules to choose from, at least two of which must be completed.

    Modules:

    • Module 5: Sport & Business Administration (5 ECTS)
    • Module 6: Sport & Law, Contract Design/Compliance (5 ECTS)
    • Module 7: Diversity, Equity & Inclusion in Sport (5 ECTS)
    • Module 8: Sustainability in Sport (5 ECTS)
