Bachelor of Mathematics: Course Content

Whether you work in manufacturing, management or research and development – numbers form the basis for all working practices in companies and organizations. Mathematics is able to clearly depict and analyze phenomena from the natural sciences, technology, and economics. Mathematicians contribute to process optimization through creative thinking, the ability to abstract, and the intelligent structuring of complex problems.

During the bachelor’s degree program in mathematics, students learn basic mathematical thinking. Building on this, they learn the theoretical and practical processing of mathematical questions. The key areas of study include analysis, application-oriented mathematics, and linear algebra. Theoretical content such as number theory, differential equations and stochastics is supplemented by practical modules. Depending on the minor you choose, the interdisciplinary bachelor’s degree program can also provide you with basic skills in the fields of computer science, investment and finance, accounting and management, or economics. This professionally qualifying degree enables you to apply mathematical methods in practice and can open the door to promising career opportunities.
