Die Entscheidung darüber, wie und in welchem Ausmaß Investitionen getätigt werden, obliegt dem jeweiligen Management. Der Vorstandsvorsitzende eines Unternehmens nimmt hierbei eine zentrale Rolle ein.

Vor diesem Hintergrund gilt es zu erörtern, welche Änderungen sich im Investitionsverhalten ergeben, sobald ein Wechsel bei dem/r Vorstandsvorsitzenden auftritt. Im Rahmen einer mehrjährigen, empirischen Analyse werden am Beispiel des HDAX Wechsel im Vorstandsvorsitz und deren Auswirkungen auf das Investitionsverhalten untersucht.

Against this background, it is important to discuss what changes occur in investment behavior as soon as there is a change in the CEO. Within the framework of an empirical analysis over several years, changes in the chairmanship of the board of management and their effects on investment behavior are examined using the example of the HDAX.
