Center for Economic and Statistical Analysis

The Center for Economic and Statistical Analysis (CESA) was launched by Professors Joscha Beckmann (Macroeconomics), Robinson Kruse-Becher (Applied Statistics) and Hans-Jörg Schmerer (International Economics) in 2021 as a joint initiative for their economic research based on applied econometric methods. In January 2024, Professor Westphal (Economic Policy) and his team joined CESA. In January 2025, our colleague Professor Rainer Baule (Banking and Finance) and his team team further extended the team and scope of our joint research center.
