Abstract
The sub-project of Elise Glaß’ dissertation project (duration April-October 2023), which is funded by internal research funding, comprises the preparation, implementation, and initial evaluation of a Germany-wide student survey.
The online survey is aimed at students in the final stage of their studies, from 17 study programs - the B.A. Educational Science at the FernUniversität in Hagen and 16 structurally, and content-wise comparable study programs. The main topics are career and educational pathways, study motivations, expectations, and experiences in the current study program as well as follow-up perspectives.
The explorative design of the survey involves the interviewed students in the development of the survey design, in the sense of a qualitative pretest. By making the data available, there are also further possibilities for evaluation beyond the specific research interest.
Project goals
The aim of the survey is to gain initial indications of the extent to which undergraduate pedagogical degree programs with a broad thematic focus can be considered places of professionalization for individuals with experience in professional fields.
