Workshop / Phd Seminar Autonomous Systems 2011

Call for Papers

For the workshop we are looking for unpublished papers that deal with autonomous systems in the broadest sense. This can be research results, industrial applications, experiences in working with those type of systems as well as the discussion of yet unsolved problems, and the discussion of possible solutions. Relevant tasks could, for instance, come from the following areas:

  • Theories, models, algorithms for communities
    • Distributed algorithms
    • Simulation models
    • Evolution of cooperation in social and biologic systems
    • Game theory, graph theory and cost models
    • Innovative communication protocols
    • Self organization and self stabilization
    • Small world models and clouds
    • Structure building, overlay networks, and functional separation
    • Nonlinear dynamic systems, chaos theory
    • Complex networks
    • Decision making and decision support systems
  • Technolgies
    • Distributed systems and und realtime systems
    • Ad-Hoc- and sensornetworks
    • Security and privacy protection
    • Context- and location aware applications
    • Natural language processing and translation
    • Peer-To-Peer-, grid-, and cloud technologies
    • Software agents and adaptive systems
    • Service oriented architectures
    • Content management
    • Semantic web
    • Engineering applications of chaos theory
  • Swarm Intelligence and system biology
    • Swarm-based optimization techniques
    • Swarm computing
    • Particle swarm optimization
    • Ant colony optimization
    • Fish school search
    • Bioinformatics
    • Cognitive science
    • Social evolution
    • Optimization theory and methods
    • Evolutionary computation
    • Simulation and emulation of nature
    • Multi-agent based complex systems
    • Collective intelligence
    • Social intelligence
    • Mathematic theoretic approaches to emergence in swarms

                   Authors' instructions.

Submitted papers will be reviewed taking into account the following criteria:

    • relevance with regard to the workshop's main focuses
    • relevance with regard to the state of the art
    • degree of innovation
    • compliance with layout requirements
    • quality of the paper with regard to language, correctness, and way of presentation
Admitted papers of registered partipicants will be published in the proceedings of the series Studies in Computational Intelligence with Springer Verlag.
