• Profile

  Prof. Dr. Udo Thelen is able to draw on many years of industry experience in his role as a consultant and management coach between universities and companies. His work focuses on innovative educational cooperation at the interface between educational institutions and companies. He holds a professorship for Education Management & Corporate Learning at the Euro-FH in Hamburg.

  Udo Thelen acts as a reviewer, expert and juror for foundations and political consulting institutions. At the German University of Administrative Sciences in Speyer, he teaches on the Science Management course (M.P.A.). As a member of the FGU’s scientific committee, he supports the work of the Franco-German University/Université Franco-Allemande (FGU/UFA) which has more than 200 member institutions in France and Germany.

  2008 to 2014: Founder and managing director of the sponsoring company and chancellor of the German University for Continuing Education (Klett Group/FU Berlin)

  2009 to 2012: Expert and member in the working group “Prospects for the non-state higher education sector” organized by the German Council of Science and Humanities

  2004 to 2006: Board member/treasurer of the consortium of German universities for the foundation of the Korean-German Institute of Technology (KGIT Seoul)

  2002 to 2007: Executive Director/Managing Director of the International Center for Graduate Studies (University of Hamburg)
