The WED Research Cluster’s Topics and Objectives

The interdisciplinary research cluster “Work - Education - Digitalization” (WED) at the FernUniversität in Hagen is dedicated to investigating digital transformation in today’s working world. ​

Our research focuses on the triggers, progress and impact of digitalization processes in four different areas: business, education, health and administration. Of particular interest are questions regarding the design of working practices, competence development and lifelong learning for employees and managers.

Working together with external partners, this research cluster is aiming to enhance the potential for knowledge transfer in the working world.​
