Prof. Dr. Niels Pinkwart

Prof. Dr. Niels Pinkwart heads the research group "Computer Science Education / Computer Science and Society" at Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin as well as the ProMINT Kolleg and the Center of Technology Enhanced Learning located in the Professional School of Education of HU Berlin and he is Scientific Director of the Research Department Educational Technology Lab at German Research Center for Artificial Intelligence (DFKI).
Since December 2019 Prof. Pinkwart supports the research cluster CATALPA as a visiting professor in the cooperation projects LA DIVA (CATALPA and HU Berlin) and AI.EDU (CATALPA and DFKI).
In addition, Prof. Pinkwart is Principal Investigator at the Einstein Center Digital Future and at the Weizenbaum Institute for Networked Society (German Internet Institute). Within the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Informatik Prof. Pinkwart is currently speaker of the working group Learning Analytics and member of the executive committee of the department Educational Technologies.
Prof. Pinkwart has led a large number of research projects in the field of educational technologies in the course of his professional career and has published more than 200 papers in this field. He is active in the national and international research community by organizing symposia such as the DELFI-GMW 2019 and the LAK 2020.
