Social program

Alternative 1: Introduction to the Immersive Collaboration Hub

The Immersive Collaboration Hub (ICH) at the University of Hagen is a unique space equipped with state-of-the-art technology for exploring and experimenting with immersive technologies such as Virtual Reality (VR), Augmented Reality (AR), and Mixed Reality (MR). The hub serves as a creative center for diverse teaching and learning experiences, interactive workshops, and inspiring lectures. It provides opportunities to explore new concepts in immersive learning and develop training programs. Participants will receive a one-hour introduction to the technologies, with the chance to try out various applications.

Limited capacity (50 participants).

Alternative 2: Guided tour of the historic sites of Hohensyburg (in German only)

Hohensyburg is known for its striking Hohensyburg Castle ruins, perched on a hill offering breathtaking views of the surrounding Ruhr Valley. The castle dates back to the 12th century and has witnessed centuries of history. Today, visitors can explore its impressive ruins, which include remnants of the walls, towers, and gates. Another significant landmark is the Equestrian Monument of Kaiser Wilhelm, located nearby. This monumental statue stands as a tribute to the German Emperor. Together, the castle ruins and the equestrian monument create a fascinating historical experience for visitors.
