The Sunbelt Conference is the worldwide leading forum for Social Network Analysis (SNA) organized by the International Network for Social Network Analysis (INSNA). At this year’s conference in Utrecht (Netherlands), project team member Dr. Daniela Perbandt presented in the panel session “Issue Emergence in Environmental Politics” preliminary results of the bioeconomy monitoring in Europe. Her objectives were twofold. First, she investigated if existing indicator suggestions hypothesize social and ecological trade-offs with the implementation of a European bioeconomy strategy. Second, she focussed on the actors developing these monitoring criteria, and analysed their collaboration on organisations level applying a Social Network Analysis.
