On 5th September 2019, the Bio-Ecopoly project team members Thomas Vogelpohl, Katrin Beer and Benjamin Ewert presented the results of their case studies at the European level at the General Conference of the European Consortium for Political Research (ECPR) at the University of Wroclaw (Poland). In the first part of their talk titled "Patterns of European bioeconomy policy" in the panel "Regulation of the biophysical environment: air, water and land", Thomas Vogelpohl introduced the concept of the bioeconomy and the theoretical framework "political process inherent dynamics approach" (PIDA). In the second part of the presentation, the most important results of the case studies for the European Strategy for Plastics (2018) in the field of bioplastics and the Renewable Energy Directives I and II (2009, 2018) in the fields of biofuels and bioenergy were presented to the audience. Participants of the international conference were mainly scientists working in the field of political science or related disciplines. After the event, a conference paper will be written under the lead of Thomas Vogelpohl, which will be published in a revised form in a scientific journal in short.
