Short Biography

Lisa Walter joined the FernUniversität in Hagen as a researcher in April 2018, where she works on the project “Migration and institutional change in the German health care system in the field of psychiatric and psychotherapeutic care of refugees (MIGEP)”. For her BA degree, she studied Sociology and Political Science at the University of Frankfurt (Main). Then, she completed the MA program „European Master in Migration and Intercultural Relations“ at the Carl von Ossietzky Universität Oldenburg, the University of Stavanger (Norway), the Mbarara University of Science and Technology (Uganda) and the Slovenian Migration Institute (Slovenia). From 2015 to 2017, Lisa Walter led a project at the Refugee Council of North-Rhine Westphalia to improve refugees’ access to the labor market.
