The ESEMP is the philosophical society exploring the early modern era in its entirety. It examines the partial epochs of late scholasticism, renaissance, humanism, reformation and the early enlightenment in their European context.
The ESEMP was founded at 6th november 2004 in Hagen, Germany. It counts distinguished scholars from different nations among its members.
The ESEMP regards itself as a philosophical and, at the same time, interdisciplinary forum for early modern research.
