Mustapha Addam joined the Chair of Business Administration, in particular Information Management at the FernUniversität in Hagen as a research assistant and doctoral candidate on January 1, 2025.
Mustapha started his training as an IT specialist at the Institute for MicroTherapy in Bochum in 1999 and completed it in 2001 at VISUS Health IT Bochum. He subsequently completed a dual Bachelor's degree in Business Informatics (B.Sc.) and then a Master's degree in Public Health (M.Sc.) at the FOM University of Applied Sciences in Essen.
During his professional career, Mustapha Addam gained extensive experience in the health IT industry. He worked at VISUS Health IT GmbH for more than a decade in various management positions, most recently as Specification Manager and Requirements Engineer. His expertise includes the development of interoperable IT solutions for the healthcare sector, particularly in the areas of HIS/RIS/PACS, telematics infrastructure and interoperability standards such as DICOM and HL7.
His research and teaching focuses on eHealth, interoperability, digital patient care and the integration of artificial intelligence in healthcare. Another focus is the establishment of technologies to promote public health.
