About
Dr Michael Neugebauer has been a doctoral candidate at the Chair of Business Administration, in particular Information Management, at the FernUniversität in Hagen since April 2025.
He successfully completed his Master's degree in Health Economics at the University of Heidelberg during his medical studies. During his training as a specialist in paediatrics and adolescent medicine, he gained extensive clinical experience in outpatient and inpatient care in Germany and Switzerland. He acquired extensive knowledge in the field of medical informatics as part of his part-time Master's programme in Medical Informatics. Thanks to his combination of expertise in the fields of medicine, healthcare management and IT, he has been responsible for managing and realising projects and research projects in the field of digital health at the University Children's Hospital Zurich as part of the medical management team for several years. He also continues to work in patient care as a senior physician.
His research activities at the FernUniversität in Hagen concentrate on the field of digitalisation with a focus on digital health, digitalisation in patient care and artificial intelligence in healthcare.
