Our guest this evening was Marc Dauenhauer, computer scientist and founder of Dauenhauer IT Management Consulting. With his expertise in data protection, information security, and AI governance, he advises companies on various IT management-related issues.

More data protection does not automatically lead to higher IT security, just as IT security does not necessarily guarantee the protection of personal data. However, data protection can hardly be achieved without robust IT security measures, as technical safeguards are essential for protecting data.

During the evening, we analyzed the overlaps and distinctions between these disciplines, gaining a better understanding of their complementary roles. The guest illustrated this with practical case studies, which participants were able to evaluate through live voting.
