The B*IMA Chair is pleased to be represented with three papers at the European Conference on Information Systems (ECIS2023) in Kristiansand, Norway this week.

This working paper describes how LCNC platform technologies and citizen development programmes promote the democratisation of the design, development and implementation of digital solutions in organisations. It emphasises that different types of LCNC platforms and citizen development strategies should be considered to achieve greater benefits and support organisations in their digital transformation strategy.

Jennifer Kendziorra presents the working paper "Women Mentoring Programs to Reduce the Gender Gap in it Professions", co-authored with Lisa Aufschläger, Kristina Kusanke, Anne-Katrin Witte and Till Winkler, at the workshop "Social justice and Inclusion to Co-create Sustainable Digital Futures".
Since technical professions and industries are still heavily dominated by men, this working paper addresses the question of how mentoring programmes for women should be designed to help narrow the gender gap and counteract the professional imbalance.

The Chair would like to thank all the conference organisers, especially those involved in the aforementioned tracks and workshops, for providing these great forums to discuss the work of our PhD students!
