Talk by Illia Karabash
On May 4th, 2023, Illia Karabash (University of Bonn, Germany) gave a talk about "M-boundary tuples and the description of m-dissipative boundary conditions for abstract wave equations" as part of the online workshop on "Dirac equation between discrete and continuous: new trends and applications" organized by Ginestra Bianconi (Queen Mary University of London) and Delio Mugnolo (FernUniversität in Hagen). This lecture is partially supported by the COST action Mathematical models for interacting dynamics on networks.
Abstract
Motivated by modeling of resonance eigenproblems, we describe via boundary tuples all possible m-dissipative boundary conditions for an abstract wave equation. The applicability of the results will be demonstrated on the Maxwell system and Leontovich boundary conditions. If time allows us, connections with the Dirac equation will be also discussed. The talk is based on the joint research with Matthias Eller.
