DFG project 'Analysis on Networks' (Delio Mugnolo)

For quite some time, tasks of theoretical computer science, in particular of machine learning, could be often solved by reformulating them into mathematical language and carefully analysing the relevant objects: graphs/quantum graphs as well as related matrices and differential operators are becoming increasingly common in applied research.

The aim of this project is to investigate various linear algebraic and operator theoretic properties of such objects, especially in connection with questions from spectral theory and the theory of dynamic systems.

The project is currently in its second phase. The DFG approved the first part of the project at the beginning of 2018, the second part was approved at the beginning of 2021.
