"Hybrid warfare in international and EU law: case of Ukraine"

The lecture deals with historic and recent developments within the newly emerged phenomenon of international law - hybrid warfare. First, the lecture reflects on historic background of the hybrid warfare in international and EU law. Second, the lecture highlights the relevance of international law documents and practices related to the hybrid warfare. Third, the lecture analyses the perception of the hybrid warfare in the domain of EU law. Fourth, the lecture studies the case of the Ukrainian-Russian conflict as a perfect example of the contemporary hybrid warfare in action. In the end, it discusses the future of legal regulation of the hybrid warfare in international and EU law.
