Nicolas Senge is a researcher and course coordinator with the MA program Interdisziplinäres Fernstudium Umweltwissenschaften (infernum; Interdisciplinary Distance-learning Environmental Sciences) since December 2020. In March 2022, he joined the Chair of policy research and environmental politics as a researcher, participating in the project “Circular Cities NRW”. He earned his BA in Economics from the FH Südwestfalen and his MSc in Sustainability Management from the Bergische Universität Wuppertal. During this time, he gained experience as a research assistant in the department of Circular Economy at the Wuppertal Institute.

Research Interests:

  • Transformation research, especially in food production (agriculture, agricultural policies, acceptance by consumers)
  • Sustainable economic transformation with a focus on circular economy and the role of municipal actors
  • Pluralist economics, alternative economy, and sufficiency
