Dr. Iniobong Essien

Lebenslauf

Iniobong Essien promovierte an der Universität Hamburg zu Gruppenbewertungen bei Mitgliedern benachteiligter Gruppen. Seine Forschungsinteressen beinhalten Intergruppenprozesse, Stereotype, Vorurteile und Diskriminierung. Ein besonderer Fokus liegt dabei auf der Frage, inwiefern die Aktivierung von Stereotypen sowie das Ausmaß von Diskriminierung vom sozialen Kontext abhängen. Weitere Forschungsinteressen umfassen implizite Messverfahren, automatische Einflüsse von Stereotypen auf das Verhalten und legitimierende Ideologien. Seit September 2016 arbeitet Iniobong Essien als wissenschaftlicher Mitarbeiter im Lehrgebiet Community Psychology.
